While it would be ridiculous to dismiss the second film from this rebooted series as a failure, it's clear that the audience is starting to feel some serious franchise fatigue when it comes to the once-mighty Webhead. There have been rumblings about this film moving back a year, but Sony's got to consider what this means to their larger plans for a "Sinister Six" film and the "Venom" spin-off as well. They need to make a big noise, culturally speaking, and for that to happen, they have to convince audiences that they care what happens to Peter Parker.
